Call your own line after closing

Use a phone number your business doesn't know, so you hear what a new caller hears.

It picks up.Count the rings. Does voicemail, a text-back or a person pick up at all?
The greeting is still true.Right hours? No old holiday? Does it tell callers what to do next?
The message goes through.Is the mailbox full? Does anything confirm the message was received?
Someone calls back fast.How long until a callback? Then text the number: does a text get any reply?

Write down what you found. Fix the one that loses the most callers first.
