Callers hang up on robots.

A stiff agent gets interrupted or hung up on. Tone isn't decoration. It decides whether people stay on the line.

The 5 rules

  1. 01Short replies. One or two sentences, then a question or a pause. Long answers sound like a script being read.
  2. 02Talk like people talk.Contractions and everyday words: "gotcha," "for sure," "no worries." Mixed up, never the same one twice in a row.
  3. 03Use their words.Owners say missed calls, no-shows and slow season. Never solutions, leverage or streamline.
  4. 04Match their energy.Relaxed with casual callers, straight to the point with busy ones.
  5. 05Fix how it sounds.Teach it hard names with a pronunciation list. And don't let it talk too fast.

The line we never cross

Personality, not pretending. It can be warm and funny. It still says it's an Ai the moment anyone asks.
