The example
Open 8 to 6 Monday to Friday, plus Saturday 9 to 1: 54 hours a week. One full-time person covers 40, before lunch, sick days and vacation. That leaves 14 hours with nobody at the desk.
And a week has 168 hours. Open 9 to 5 on weekdays is 40. For the other 128, calls go to voicemail or nowhere.
