California's new rules for Ai at work
California signed new work laws (SB 947, SB 951, AB 1331, AB 1883): employers can't rely only on Ai to discipline or fire someone, and must say if Ai caused a mass layoff or termination. Not legal advice.
Federal agencies told to say "SI," not "Ai"
A Sep 29 executive order tells federal agencies to say "Super Intelligence" instead of "Ai." A day later, California ordered its agencies to keep "artificial intelligence."

ChatGPT text gets a hidden watermark in the EU
To meet the EU Ai Act, OpenAI will add an invisible watermark to ChatGPT and Codex text in the EU. Swapping 10% of the words dropped detection from 92% to 66%.
